Obiettivi del bando: il sostegno e la promozione degli artisti italiani all’estero e l’accrescimento delle collezioni pubbliche, grazie alla produzione di opere di alcuni tra i maggiori protagonisti della scena contemporanea nazionale.Ne esce una lettura dell’Italia di oggi attraverso lo sguardo dell’arte, capace di raccontare le diverse realtà presenti sul territorio in un affresco del nostro Paese tra passato e presente, tra identità e memoria.
The exhibition REAL_ITALY presents the works selected in 2017 through the first two editions of the Italian Council grant programme promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBACT). The programme aims to support and promote Italian artists internationally while enriching public collections through the production of new works by some of the leading figures in Italy’s contemporary art scene.
The exhibition offers a portrait of contemporary Italy through the lens of art, revealing the country’s diverse realities in a compelling panorama that bridges past and present, identity and memory.
